An official from the Korea Football Association (KFA) said, “Originally, if the tournament was held in Indonesia, coach Kim Eun-joong was going to attend the group draw ceremony and hear information about the opposing teams on the spot. However, as the venue was changed to Argentina and the group draw was held in Switzerland, A change in the plan has become inevitable. Currently, manager Kim Eun-joong will not attend the group draw.”

Instead, coach Kim Eun-joong plans to spend time convening the players, identifying the squad as soon as possible, and preparing for the tournament.

A KFA official said, “From next week, the U20 national team will be summoned and the preparation will begin in earnest. Coach Kim Eun-joong will also reveal his determination and preparation plan for the tournament.”

Meanwhile, the Korean U20 national team confirmed their 16th appearance through this tournament. In the last 2019 Polish tournament, he recorded the highest ever runner-up, and Lee Kang-in (Mallorca) won the Golden Ball, the best player (MVP) of the tournament.
