“The Performance Enhancement Committee has finalized the 16 members of the national team and 24 members of the national reserve roster for the 2023 FIBA Olympic Qualifiers and the Hangzhou Asian Games,” the organization said on Saturday. The Olympic Pre-Qualifiers will be held in August and the Asian Games in September.
The squad, led by head coach Choo Il-seung, includes Kim Sun-hyung and Oh Se-geun (SK), as well as Heo Hoon (Commerce) and Ra Gun-ah (KCC). Yeo Jun-seok (Gonzaga University) and Lee Hyun-jung, whose contract with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League, the lower division of the National Basketball Association (NBA), has expired, were also named to the reserve roster. The national team will convene at the Jincheon Athletes’ Village on March 21.
The final 12-man roster for the pre-Olympic qualifiers and Asian Games will be finalized after the training camp and an exhibition game against Japan in July.
