He said, “I donated the settlement money I received from the bad actors to the needy. I sued the malicious people, not the fans. Please don’t refer to the fans as abusers. They are not fans,” he said.

“The lawsuit is still ongoing and I will continue to donate the money I received from the settlement, excluding attorney fees,” he said, adding, “It’s okay to call me names. I only sued to catch the indiscriminate comments, so there’s nothing to sue for now. I just ask that you refrain from calling my family names. I’ll take all the criticism I can get. Lastly, I am very grateful to all those who support me.”

Meanwhile, Heo Moon-ho, who made his professional debut in 1994 after graduating from Busan Technical High School and Kyungsung University, played for LG and Lotte, batting .266 with 20 home runs, 129 RBIs, 87 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 523 career games (1018 hits in 274 at-bats).

After retiring from active duty, he worked as a hitting coach for LG, Sangsung, Nexen, and Kiwoom, and held the Lotte baton since October 2019, but stepped down as manager in May 2021 due to poor performance.
